<image:title>About - Welcome! I’m Carolyn.</image:title>
<image:caption>I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a decade of experience providing individual psychotherapy. I have my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Trinity College and a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from New York University. After graduation, I pursued work as an individual, group, and family therapist at a community mental health clinic in Queens, New York. After a couple of years, I transferred my practice to The 5th Avenue Counseling Center in Manhattan and Fleurish Psychotherapy in Atlanta, where I provided insight-oriented talk therapy for individuals 18+. I now own my own practice and am currently licensed in Connecticut, Georgia and New York State. I am passionate about furthering my studies. I frequently attend trainings, participate in a peer consultation group, and attend regular supervision. I have completed a two year certificate program in psychoanalytic studies called Clinical Journeys at the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center in New York City. I am also a certified Level 1 and Level 2 Complex Trauma Treatment Provider (CTTP2).</image:caption>

<image:title>About - Therapeutic Approach & Interest Areas</image:title>
<image:caption>As a generalist, I have experience with a wide variety of issues and am able to treat most concerns that people bring to therapy. However, my particular areas of interest include: Depression, Anxiety & OCD Infidelity & Affair Recovery Life transitions (dating; graduate school; divorce) Unresolved childhood issues/trauma and strained familial dynamics My approach to therapy is insight-oriented and integrative. I pull from psychodynamic and relational theories to intentionally join my clients in their journeys to self-awareness and growth. I believe that the quality of our past and present relationships, including the therapeutic one, greatly impacts our emotional well-being. I come with the awareness that I too influence the dynamic between us and use our relationship as a therapeutic tool in itself. I find value in examining how family history, attachment style, and past life experiences are impacting the current problems. In addition, I tailor to each individual client by incorporating other modalities including mindfulness, parts-work, and somatic resourcing. My eclectic style is always accompanied by empathy, authenticity, and non-judgement.</image:caption>
